Title : Project Success or Failure : The Role of Project Management in Achieving
Project Success

Abstract :
In any discussion on success, it is essential that a distinction is made between project success and the success of the Project Management. The role of different Project Management techniques to implement projects successfully has been widely established in areas such as the planning and control of time, cost and quality. This research aimed to identify how Project Management may affect the Project performance. It demonstrates the relationship between the two distinctions will bring a higher possibility of project success.

Background :
Today, some Project Manager have used different tools that are useful for managing projects. For example networks, bar charts, job costing, scheduling and so on. This tools sometimes very successful and the other times with poor result. Project Management has emerged a strong discipline practiced by highly trained, certified professional as organization have come to realize they cannot stay in business if they cannot manage their projects. However, many companies are still limiting the application of project management to the tactical level. But smart Organization recognize Project Management is a critical strategic tool ,in achieving projects success.

time,budget,resources and performance designed to meet customer needs.

-The science and Art of organizing the components of a project,whether the project is
development of a new product,the launch of a new service, a marketing campaign or wedding.
-The application of knowledge,skills,tools and techniques to described,organize,oversea and
control the various project success.
c) Success
-The achievement of something desired,panned or attempted.
Problem Statement :
This researched aimed to identify how Project Management may affect the Project performance in achieving project success.

Research Objective :
a) To identify the influence of Project Management on Project success or failure
b) What an Organization should do to improve or maintain the management performance to
achieve project success?

Methodology:
Firstly I will make some research for some example and make them as a guide on how to investigate the topic. I choose to make a survey questionnaire to the all members in the organization by using a score to assess the topic. Then make an interview with all members in the organization such as project team member and top management to support the data from the questionnaire and the interview session will be recorded. Finally find some articles about the area of study that published in the internet as my guide and literature review.

Result and finding:
a) The study show that Project Management begins with strong concept and clear goals.
b) Successful in Project Management should be viewed and measured in terms of completing
project phases.
c) Management techniques relates resources planning to schedule and to technical cost and
schedule requirements.
